Kelleythorpe future masterplan

The developers of the Kelleythorpe airbase site are consulting local people and need your views. They are looking to hear local residents' memories, along with what they would like to see in the future of the site. This is in the context of the redevelopment of the site, the adoption of the East Riding Design Code and the need to update the masterplan.

The updated masterplan for the site is being developed and we will be looking to consult on this next year, where we will be able to share detail on what it would look like.

New Kirkburn bus shelter - update

Kirkburn parish council has negotiated with East Riding Council, the owners, for a replacement bus shelter at Kirkburn. The parish council were happy to have the original renovated however were informed that this was not possible due to asbestos roofing

The parish council was supposed to be informed of the dates for the removal and replacement and replacement. The removal happened without notification.

We now understand the replacement will be installed on Friday 13th of June. We are awaiting the details from East Riding of Yorkshire Council on the design of the replacement. Since the parish council do not own the bus shelter we are unable to have a decision on the design. We have asked for something in keeping with the village and surrounding area and understand it will be a wooden shelter. Any residents who wish to state a preference could contact their ward councillors, with their views at the East riding council.
